FOSTER
What does it mean to “foster” a dog? A foster keeps a dog in their home as their own until he/she is adopted. For some dogs, this could be one week or it could be a couple months. We try to avoid boarding dogs as much as possible, as it is stressful for the dogs and our budget. In order for us to save more dogs from the shelter, they need places to go. Dog fosters are an essential part of helping us save more lives. This is the best way you can help K9SO. We are always looking for responsible fosters that are willing to care for a dog (or dogs) in the safety of their own home. The dog(s) need to be brought to our adoption events, which will increase their likelihood of adoption. If you are interested in fostering a dog, please click here to download our Foster Agreement Form. Then, print and bring it to one of our events or email it to us at stacy@k9spirit.org to be approved to foster for K9 Spirit Organization. Many of our available dogs need foster homes. See them all here!
FACEBOOK & SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKERS
This is the quickest and easiest way to benefit K9SO – and it’s free! If you have a Facebook account, we encourage you to like our Facebook page and like/comment/share our posts. Very much of our rescue’s success is due to social networking on Facebook. More people sharing our photos provides more opportunities for dogs to find fantastic homes. If you can’t foster, can’t make it to events, or do not have the funds to donate, this is perfect opportunity to help out our organization.
